A few things
worth knowing.
Is Gammon Gods free to play?
Yes. Practice offline or create a free online match. USDC stakes are optional.
Do I need a wallet?
No wallet is needed for offline practice or free play. Connect a supported wallet and sign in when you choose a staked match.
How do stakes work?
Both players fund a per-match USDC escrow. The stake and cube settings determine maximum exposure. Read the confirmation before approving; funds in an active match are locked until settlement or an eligible recovery.
What happens to my stake if I disconnect, run out of time, or forfeit?
Every staked match has a clock. If your connection drops you have 15 minutes in total per match to come back; the game waits. If you do not return, if your clock runs out, or if you resign, your opponent wins the stake times the current cube value, with no gammon bonus. Declining a double pays the stake times the cube before that double. If both players drop or the server restarts mid-game, there is no result: after 7 days either player reclaims their full escrow from the contract, with no fee. The platform fee of 2.25% comes out of the loser's side only.
How are the dice generated?
Online dice use secure randomness on the server and the rules engine validates moves. The server is trusted to generate rolls; there is no public commit–reveal proof today.
Which network do you use?
USDC stakes use Base. The wallet screen shows the connected network and available funding options.
What does responsible play mean?
Staked play is for adults 21 and over. Set a limit before playing, take breaks, and never chase a loss. Free play is always an option. If play stops being enjoyable, stop and seek support from someone you trust.
